NORTH CAROLINA SPEEDING TICKET DEFENSE LAWYER

At Vrsecky Law Firm, we think the penalties for reckless driving, speeding, or other moving violations are worth an aggressive defense. When you consider the potential loss of your driver's license and the increased cost of insurance premiums for the next three years, we wonder why anybody pays a traffic ticket fine without contesting the charge. We have over 37 years of traffic violations defense experience—all of it right here in northwest North Carolina.

WINSTON-SALEM TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS ATTORNEY

Even if you think you are "technically guilty" of the traffic violation it does not mean we can't help you mitigate the impact on your driver's license or on your insurance premiums. In many cases we can work out a plea that minimizes that impact and save you money.

Contact us to discuss the circumstances of your traffic violation. We will discuss your legal options for defense and strategies to help protect your driver's license. You don't need to be a North Carolina resident to benefit from our experience. In fact, if you are just passing through and have been given a ticket, we may be able to appear in court on your behalf without you having to be present.

We have helped many people defend their driver's license and insurance premiums from traffic violations such as:
  • DWI and drunk driving
  • Speeding
  • Reckless driving
  • Illegal lane changes
  • Tailgating, following too close
  • All moving violations

A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT AGGRESSIVE DUI DEFENSE

A drunk driving charge is no joke. North Carolina drunk driving laws are becoming more strict and more punitive every year. Now, even a first offense can result in a madatory active sentence of at least thirty days. Even if the first time conviction does not require an active sentence, the conviction will end up costing you thousands of dollars in fines, court fees, and increased insurance rates. In addition to the expense of a DWI conviction, you may face jail, and the loss of your driver's license or vehicle. Recent amendments to North Carolina drunk driving laws include establishing a blood alcohol level (BAC) of just .04%, for those with a previous DUI conviction; a BAC of absolute 0% for those with multiple convictions; and a required ignition interlock system for driver's convicted of a BAC of .15 or higher.

If you are convicted of driving while impaired the court must conduct a sentencing hearing to determine the appropriate sentence. There are six levels for punishment ranging from 1A to 5. The Court must consider grossly aggravating factors, aggravating factors and mitigating factors when determining the punishment you will receive. Our attorneys will look at each one of these and make sure that the Court only considers those that are applicable to your case.

At Vrsecky Law Firm, we take defending your rights seriously. In a state where a single DWI conviction can cost you so much, we think it's important to fight hard for your defense. Attorney Robert Probst has over twenty-five years of DWI defense experience to protect your rights.

Contact our office to schedule a consultation about your DWI charges. When we meet, we won't ask whether you are guilty. That's not what effective DWI defense is about. Effective drunk driving defense strategies include:

  3. was the breathalyzer test conducted properly and accurately?
